General Questions

Daily Data is South Africa’s one and only website that gives you a chance to win data top-ups for your mobile phone and its 100% Free!

It’s a bit like a free newspaper that sell’s advertising to fund the running of the newspaper. In our case, advertisers pay us to advertise on the site and when your number is drawn, we pay you.

Winners have 24 hours to claim the prize otherwise the money rolls over to the next day.

The prize money is from ad revenue we make on the site. When users check the draw to see if they’ve won, we generate ad revenue, which we then share with our users as daily prizes.

It works like a free newspaper, or free-to-air TV channel that sell’s advertising to fund the running of the newspaper or TV channel. In our case, advertisers pay us to advertise on the site and when your number is drawn, we pay you.

Once you have signed up with your cell phone number and email address, you will be able to check the daily draw. We also send you regular reminders to check the site to see if you have won.

Make sure you check at least once a day, it only takes a few minutes.

The daily winner is selected randomly by our system every day.

The first thing to try is a hard refresh in your browser. This should solve the issues. (You’ll need to do this on every page that is not loading).

A hard refresh is a way of clearing the browser’s cache for a specific page, to force it to load the most recent version. Sometimes, when changes are made to the website, they don’t register immediately due to caching. A hard refresh will usually fix this, though occasionally completely clearing the cache is necessary.

First, please make sure you have cookies enabled. If you don’t know whether you have them enabled or not, please visit:

Google Chrome has just introduced a new ad-blocking feature that will work in your browser alongside any other ad-blockers you have installed.

This may block our advertisers ads from appearing.

As you know, Daily Data relies on advertising to run and give you the chance to win each day. We try to ensure that the ads aren’t obtrusive and annoying. We ask that if you see any of these types of adverts that you report them to us so we can investigate and ban them.

We hate these annoying ads too and we want to make sure Daily Data is an enjoyable daily experience, so you should be able to leave the Chrome Ad Filter off.

If you are using any other type of Ad Blocker please white list Daily Data.

Yes, you can email admin@dailydata.co.za as soon as you win and let us know which charity to donate to!

You can even choose to send it to a friend. Just tell us their number and we will add the data to their phone.

Registering Questions

In order to keep the draw fair we only allow one cell phone number and email address per entrant.

Anyone found breaking this rule will be permanently disqualified from playing.  We are constantly monitoring entries and may disqualify suspicious entries without notifying you.

No, whilst that would be very kind of you, we cannot allow this as this leaves the site open to abuse and we cannot allow users to register other people’s personal data onsite.

If you would like someone to enter please ask them to do so themselves. Again, anyone found breaking this rule will be permanently disqualified from playing.

No. Once you have registered and verified your account, your number will be entered into the draw everyday.

If you stop checking the site for a prolonged period of time, we may remove your number for inactivity. In this case, it will be added back if you start checking the site again.

As soon as you register on the site we send you an OTP (One Time Password) to your phone via SMS or Whatsapp

You have to enter this OTP in order to confirm ownership of the number and to confirm your registration.

Winning Questions

If your number is drawn as the winning number for the day, you will see a “Your a Winner” button appear.

Once you have claimed the prize the Daily Data team are notified of your details, win amount and time of the claim. Your prize will be sent to your phone as a top-up within 48Hrs.

We may also start offering other options to claim your prize in the future.

Please note: You must have visited the site in the last 7 days to be eligible to claim.

When you registered on the site you used your cell phone number. We use that number to send the prize to as a top-up

You cannot claim retrospectively. You have 24 hours to claim your prize from the start of the daily draw.
